History

• St. Kevin's first opened its doors to students in 1966.
• In 1989 the new school opens.
• 2008 the new extension is completed.

The name of the school St Kevins Community Collage originated from Saint Kevin of Glendalough.

Sports and extra curricular activities                   

The school has a proud tradition of participating in sports and extra curricular activities. Some of the sports events include:

• Athletics
• Soccer
• Gaelic Football
• Cameoige and Hurling
• Golf
• Horse riding

Students have been very successful at county level in many of their sports over the years.

Some other extra curricular activities include:

• Debating
• Public speaking
• Drama
• Choir
• Arts

St.Kevin's is very prowd of its many successes but it’s the taking part that is the most important aspect of these competitions.

Extra courses                                                          

As the school is a community college efforts are made to give opportunities of lifelong learning to the whole community. Various courses and services are avalible in St. Kevin's for adults.
